Before & After Corrosion |
When water from irrigation systems hits the glass or glass shower
doors are not properly maintained, minerals in the ground water react
with the silicates in glass to cause corrosion. There are different
stages of corrosions, stage 1 and stage 2. Usually stage 2 is
irreparable and the glass must be replaced. The professional window
cleaner at Sunrise Window Cleaning can remove stage 1 cleaner with
certain chemicals and techniques. We usually need to test an area of
the water stained glass to determine which stage the corrosion is in,
and at that point we can determine if we can make a difference.
However, in some instances, especially on windows which have extensive
sun exposure on parts of the glass, we sometimes find that that part
of the pane which is more shaded will clean up quickly, but the area
with excessive sun exposure requires much more work and, as a result,
we have to charge hourly for this service.
Screen
Repair
We offer screen repair
for our customers, providing the mesh is fiberglass and not metal. In
addition, we can repair bent screen frames, screen corners and screen
pins. Usually a simple rescreen can be done on site, but if we need to
replace some sides, we sometimes need to bring the screen back to the
shop to do the repair and then return the screen(s) when we are in the
area. Our prices are a little higher than if you were to bring the
screen in to a hardware store to have the repair done, but sometimes,
for example, you can’t fit a sliding door screen into your car, so the
onsite repair is more convenient.
