Many contractors face the dilemma of scratched/damaged glass after the
windows have been cleaned and very often blame the window cleaner for
the damage, however it is usually not the professional window cleaner
who causes this, but cleaners uneducated in the proper techniques,
along with other factors that we will explain further.
What are proper techniques? The informed window cleaner knows when he
can or cannot use a scraper. This situation arises when tempered glass
is present and the window cleaner isn’t familiar with this industry
wide problem. (See section on tempered glass.) In addition, very often
homes that have a stucco finish need to be hosed off frequently while
the stucco is being cured, which can cause water stains to form, which
cannot be easily removed without causing damage. There are also issues
with cleaning the window frames, properly removing tape residue on the
frames, cleaning out the window and door tracks, removing protective
coatings, and leaving the windows streak free. The professional window
cleaner at Sunrise Window Cleaning knows how to handle these
situations and you can feel confident that when we are done, the
windows, frames, and tracks will be clean and damage-free.
